The ekrn.exe is not a Windows system file, but is a process which belongs to the software ESET NOD32 Antivirus and the ESET Smart Security Suite Kernel Service. | ESET NOD32. After major updates, may eat up resources for a few minutes. If you don't have NOD32, then ekrn.exe is probably a bad program pretending to be it. | |||

| Good antivirus, but Kaspersky is better. Third best antivirus in the world, after Avira and Kaspersky. Light on resources, good heuristic detection. | |||
