this is the utility for a useless file tool that is supposed to show the size of folders in explorer. it isn't a virus, just uses 404 bytes of space that could be used for firefox | |||

This little app is cool. I don't know why Windows doesn't have this as part of the folder options in the first place | |||

This is a harmless app that allows you to view the size of folders from within Windows Explorer. Folder sizes appear as a column that you can view along side file sizes. That said, if you are making large changes to your disks (deleting files with Eraser or copying large quantities of files, for example) FolderSizeSvc.exe can consume considerable CPU time as it constantly recalculates folder sizes. It had one core on my machine maxed out at 100% as I was running Eraser to remove a lot of old & unneeded files. So, it's useful but it can slow down your computer. | |||
