| Found this information on DelphiFAQ.com: "These two programs (igfxtray.exe and igfxpers.exe)are configuration utilities for your NVidia graphics card. You can remove them from your startup sequence if you don't change your card's configuration frequently. I found that my notebook computer automatically switches its graphic card's resolution when I dock it into a docking station with monitor or connect it to an external monitor. It switches from 1024x768 to 1280x1024. When I remove the external monitor it switches back to 1024x768. These two processes are responsible for this feature. I suggest to remove these processes only if you don't need the above described feature. More information | |||

| yep on my Toshiba laptop when I first started it up & for the first time saw my new laptops desktop screen.Indeed there is two processes that belong to INTEL Config options.Since I had not yet suft the net,there is NO-WAY it's spy\\malware etc."smarter_one" is in my opinion a paranoid dick that knows everything better but does'nt do the research.igfxprs.exe on the other hand ,plus other "weird" programs spelled almost similar to the Intel Exes,are very suspect,but my Sbybot search & destroy Freeware got rid of them real quick More information | |||

| I think what smarter_one is trying to say is that this is for Intel not Nvidia. I have the process running and my computer doesn't have an nvidia card in it. But yes its for the GUI configuration tool for Intel Graphic cards | |||

| Just to add to the last comment from Chris, this process also is automatically installed and set to run at startup for boards with onboard Intel graphics. So once you install a graphics card, you would almost certainly want to at least disable these at startup, if not delete them. | |||

AND NOTHING HAS TO DO THIS PROCESS WITH NVidia, but, INTEL. JUST INTEL, NOT Nvidia. My laptop is runing this process, and does not has anything from NVidia, is runing intel chipset graphic... the first comment, is a bad information. | |||
