Seriously annoying when you don't know what it is and did not turn it on yourself. It occasionally crashes games by using up resources when it attempts to open up a dial-up connection on my system. A Google search shows that this file is a genuine Microsoft programme associated with updating RSS feeds in Internet Explorer 7. It must have been turned on when I downloaded something that installed a toolbar in IE. I did not turn it on myself. These spyware programmes usually install their toolbars in IE because they can't find or don't recognize Opera. I usually leave IE alone, because I use the Opera browser, which is still the safest browser on the net. I turned the feeds option off in IE. If that doesn't solve the problem, I can block the process in the firewall or in some process blocker like Winpatrol or Spybot. | |||
