I downloaded a pirated copy of Corel Visual Studio X5 and it did NOTHING to stop me from using it!! All it does is slow your boot time and use resorces! Garbage!

It is possible to install Corel products without this service, but I don't remenber the unofficial procedure.

This is an application service. It's Corel License Validation Service powered by Arvato Digital Services Canada Inc, countersignature: Symantec Time Stamping Services Signer - G4. It installs with Corel Suites to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Protexis\License Service and there a 32bit version that installs as well and that is located in C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Protexis\License Service
