I've been running Adobe software since they got started, and they've definitely gone downhill in the past 5 or so yrs. This is annoying spyware, and can be disabled.

Emiliano is right, I think, Adobe Reader (and FlashPlayer) are potential security risks, so its important to update them. So ARM could be helpfull if you doubt your own memory. Either way is ok - but they must be updated. Alternative PDFreeaders are interesting, but are they safer?

Hate it. It slows down my computer and it will take 15 minutes to complete something that should only take a few seconds when adobearm is running. NEEDS TO GO AWAY

Not necessary if you manager Acrobat updates manually

Adobe Arm, otherwise known as Adobe Reader and Acrobat Manager, is an autoupdate utility that notifies you, downloads, and installs new updates for these products. If you install these updates manually then you do not need this program to start up automatically.

I removed this from msconfig, and manually kill it from task manager. It keeps on coming back. I'll be removing all adobe software if I can't get this thing out of here. It's not my problem these companies can't release software that needs security updates all the time. If they'd simply release secure software we wouldn't constantly have to run updates.
