| Not only has this icon got extremely little usefulness (after all, if your hard disk fails, it will be once every 2 to 4 years, and when that happens you will know well before this icon warns you about it!!), but it is also extremely buggy, wantonly consuming memory: on a staggering 17% of PCs it consumes an unbelievable 70 to 86Mb of memory. You do not want this useless resources hungry icon running on your system - you can always start the Intel Rapid Storage software from Start \\ All Programs \\ Intel \\ Intel Rapid Storage. You can disable this icon. | |||

| This program is essential to keep, as it prevents certain viruses to gain access to your computer before other programs do. This prevents certain viruses from hijacking your computer before your other programs have even booted up, preventing locking up your computer. the FBI virus is a good example of this kind of virus. | |||
