This is a monitoring utility for Logitech devices (e.g. Keyboards & Mice) that lets you know when driver updates are available. Resource load s minimal, as is loadtime (0.1 sec). Everyone, regardless of experience level, should be using some type of background monitoring... If you use a very good overall device/program update monitoring utility, then you may be OK in removing any of the individual monitors that may be loading. But, keep in mind, even many of the good monitoring utiities will fail to check for updates of ALL that you run.

The LDA doesn't do any harm. But I did not directly explicitly grant permission for it to be there. Just plugged in my new Trackball and it barges onto my system and even worse starts prompting me to download stuff I do not need or want. The Quick Start guide offered described what was available. Should have left it there and left me the *choice* of whether to download more Logitech crap or not.
