Keep it but delay its startup, so that your Java is always up to date.

Sun Microsystems, Inc. Java Runtime Update Scheduler tells the user when a java update is available and prompts a message box at the right hand corner, giving the user a choice to let the applet install the latest Java Runtime update from www.java.com The user can otherwise disable the Jusched.exe process and manually update the applet by visitng java.com

This updates Java formerly Sun Microsystems now Oracle. It is used in some online and a few offline applications and programs especially games. The process is jusched.exe located as default C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Java\\Java Update\\jusched.exe. One problem you may find is when logged in with limited user accounts it will not update properly when it tells you new download is available in system tray. Just log into administrator account and install update. You can also find Java in the control panel switch to "classic view" and click the second tab "update" on Java's control panel. While Java is falling out of favor to Flash and HTML5 it still is used widely in applications online. More information
