Not needed for the main Wondershare program to run. This is basically bundled adware and can be safely deleted from the 'Common Files' folder as well as from the registry.

WShelper.exe locks up my computer at 100% utilization!!!

This file remained behind and was started running from the registry even after uninstalling the Wondershare program.

WondershareCompactHelper.Exe is installed as part of Wondershare application software, such as their Video Converter. Compact Helper constantly runs as a background process. It installs a registry key under Registry - xxx - Windows - Run that allows Compact Helper to start up with Windows. COMPACT HELPER IS UNNECESSARY FOR RUNNING WONDERSHARE SOFTWARE. I disabled Wondershare Compact Helper without any ill effects to my Wondershare application software.
